Job Description: Treatment Specialist
SUMMARY: The person in this position supervises the daily activities of the clients in the Agency’s programs and is supervised by a Program Coordinator.
Position Specific Competencies
Program-Related - Knows and follows the program procedures and ensures that program schedule is followed, assists Therapists with recording clients’ activities, produces accurate and professional paperwork, efficiently and appropriately utilizes Agency equipment, vehicles, buildings, and all resources, transports clients while following all vehicle and safety policies and procedures.
Client Related - Maintains line of site and ratio, maintains the clients’ physical (examples: CPR/1st Aid techniques, medication procedures) and emotional (examples: treats clients with caring respect, encourages client to succeed) well-being, utilizes Choice Theory / Reality Therapy / Collaborative Problem Solving and NVCPI techniques, knows and upholds youth rights, helps clients learn Life Skills and schoolwork, holds clients accountable in a firm yet caring and respectful manner.
General Competencies
All documentation is complete, thorough, accurate, timely, legible, grammar and spelling are appropriate, guidelines for that particular document are followed, and signatures and dates are affixed where required.
All Training requirements for this position are met.
Demonstrates an appropriate level of understanding of Choice Theory / Reality Therapy / Collaborative Problem
Solving, as it pertains to their position.
Maintains good relationships with peers and his/her supervisor, and maintains appropriate boundaries with all persons with which he/she comes in contact during work time.

Requirements
High School Diploma Required.
Some related experience preferred.
Must be at least 21 yrs. of age.
Must be able to successfully pass the agency’s background check and pre-placement physical.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
