Multiple Positions Available - Summer Camp Opportunity
Camp Olmsted, located in Cornwall on Hudson, New York, has been a cherished summer destination for campers aged 6 to 14 from New York City communities for over 120 years. Our wide range of activities, including swimming, ropes challenge courses, arts and crafts, kiddie’s kitchen, dance, theater, and sports, provide a dynamic and enriching experience for our campers.
We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team for the 2025 Summer Camp season. This is an incredible opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while enjoying a rewarding and memorable summer experience.
Position Details: Multiple Positions Available (Leadership Positions, Lifeguards, Counselors, and Activity Leaders.)
Dates: Orientation: June 6th-8th, Leadership Training: June 16th-20th, and Staff Training/Camp June 23th - August 8th
Qualifications:
· Must be at minimum 18 years old.
· Genuine interest in working with children.
· Fun-spirited and patient.
Please note that all candidates must be willing and able to live on the camp premises for the entire seven weeks of the program, including the orientation period.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children in various camp activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment.
- Implement and lead educational and recreational programs tailored to different age groups.
- Manage classroom behavior and promote positive interactions among campers.
- Provide first aid and emergency care as needed, ensuring the well-being of all participants.
- Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages personal growth and teamwork among campers.
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding camper progress and any concerns.
