Camp Pembroke is an overnight camp looking to hire 2 fabulous nursing staff for the summer to work at camp!
Come join the incredibly talented and dedicated team of nurses at an overnight camp just for girls! The health and safety of our camp community is our top priority, but we also want you to have fun- go kayaking on our lake, enjoy the pool on a hot day, jump into a game of pickle ball, or make a s’more at one of our campfires!
We are looking for 2 nurses!
Position 1: 6/18/24-7/21/24- live at camp and get fully immersed in our incredible community. Perfect for a school nurse or a travel nurse who is looking for a 5 week contract!
Position 2: 6/18/24-8/15/24- 7am-3pm Sunday-Thursday. Perfect for someone local who is excited about having a camp experience!
Nurses who live at camp have private, air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms. Competitive compensation, reimbursement for out-of-state license transfer, travel stipends to/from camp if traveling by plane, workers’ compensation, days off and camp tuition stipend for children attending camp!
Must have an active and current registered license. New and seasoned RNs and NPs encouraged to apply! Nurses with pediatric experience encouraged to apply. Type 1 Diabetes experience is a plus!
Responsibilities include:
- Provide health care to meet individual needs of campers and staff, including assessments and treatment;
- Distribution of daily and as needed medication;
- Utilize camper management and electronic medical record system;
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records according to state and American Camp Association Standards;
- Oversee First Aid procedures and distribution of supplies;
- Communicate with parents and other health care providers;
- Coordinate and drive campers and staff to outside medical and dental appointments;
- Provide ongoing staff training.
