View Camp Rogers Faith & Life Covenant at CampRoger.org / mission to learn more about how we find our center in Christ for the purpose of serving God.Staff Cultural Characteristics : Growth mindsetChrist-centered lifeHumilityPursues unity and reconciliationLoves and cares for othersJob Responsibilities : Leads and is a welcoming host to small and large groups of students in outdoor education programming such as team-building activities, interactive games and challenges, canoeing, fire building, climbing tower activities, nature and environmental lessons, and more.Keep groups organized and facilitate programming details.Develop programming ideas and write curriculum for scheduled group visits.Provides professional communication with group leaders (principals, teachers, & youth pastors) to schedule and coordinate details for visits to Camp.Leads groups and supports the outdoor education team, preparing well to lead quality programs.Arrives early and stays late to prepare, set up, clean, wrap up, take down, and prepare for the next day. Hours vary throughout the week.Cleans, sanitizes, helps with smaller maintenance issues, stocks supplies, stack wood, and builds fires.Each Outdoor Education Specialist will likely have a particular area of ownership (homeschool groups, GO Days, or school field trips) and will have responsibility for the quality of our program in those areas.Job Requirements : Ability to lift 25 lbs and hike on various terrain in all weather conditions.Lifeguard Certification is not required but encouraged.Working knowledge of Office 365.Attention to detail and ability to problem-solve.Excellent written and communication skills.Responsible to : Outdoor Education DirectorMember of : Outdoor ProgramsOrganizational Requirements : Cares deeply about Camp Rogers ministry to children.Dedication to serving others.Fluent, bi-literate English / Spanish preferred.Agrees to sign and strive to live up to the standards outlined in Camp Rogers Faith and Life Covenant (located at CampRoger.org / mission).Compensation and Benefits : This is a part-time, hourly position from mid-August to mid-June (10 months). Minimum of 15 hours per week for each two-week pay period.Pay is $17.00 per hour.Throughout specific times of the year (September, October, April, and May), hours most likely will increase to approximately 30-40 hours per week.4.
