Job Summary
The camp nurse or EMT is under the direct supervision of the Day Camp Operator. This position is five days a week from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the summer camp season scheduled to run from June 23rd to August 15th. The camp nurse/EMT provides medical care to campers and will have a variety of other duties: maintaining a clean office, ordering supplies, maintaining medical logs, keeping track of patients after visits, observing campers to ensure optimum health and safety levels, and maintaining first-aid kits. Required qualifications: certification as an RN, LPN, PA or EMT.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children and foster a positive environment.
- Knowledge of physiology and anatomy is beneficial for understanding camper health needs.
- Experience in medication administration, including familiarity with urgent care protocols.
- Ability to perform physical examinations when necessary, ensuring camper health is prioritized.
- Proficiency in venipuncture may be required for specific health-related tasks during camp sessions.
- Capability to handle heavy lifting as needed for various camp activities or equipment setup.
- Previous experience administering injections is a plus but not mandatory.
