What are the responsibilities and job description for the Boat Driver (Summer Internship) position at Camp Taconic?
Camp Taconic, a 7-week overnight camp in Western Massachusetts is looking for a Boat Driver for Summer 2025. Taconic is a traditional, coed camp with over 500 campers and 300 staff members.
This is a great opportunity for education majors and water sports enthusiasts to gain experience and make an impact on the development of young people. At Taconic, our waterski program is dedicated to providing a fun and challenging experience for campers age 7-16.
Responsibilities:
- Safely navigate the lake in our motorized ski boat, towing campers on skis, kneeboards, wakeboard and tubes
- Teach the fundamentals of waterskiing/wakeboarding on the dock
- Follow water safety protocols, working with our lifeguards
- Help campers increase their confidence
- Live with a group of campers and co-counselors and help to tend to their day-to-day needs
