What are the responsibilities and job description for the Backpacking Trip Expedition Manager position at Camp Tawonga?
Camp Tawonga is a leader in outdoor education and adventure for children and families. As a Wilderness Adventure Program Director, you will have the opportunity to contribute to this leadership by guiding groups of youth on backpacking trips in Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
You will be responsible for guiding 1-2 night backpacking trips, facilitating groups of youth on our challenge course, and co-leading multi-week teen travel adventures involving climbing, rafting, hiking, camping, backpacking, and surfing. As a member of our team, you will be part of a community of almost 200 dedicated individuals who share your passion for outdoor education and working with children.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and prior experience backpacking. If you do not possess certain certifications, we will help cover the costs of obtaining them before the job start date. Food and lodging are provided at our amazing location on the Tuolumne River just outside of Yosemite National Park.
