We are an overnight camp located in northern Wisconsin and we are looking for mature and responsible people who have experience in outdoor recreation to be a part of our awesome trip leading staff! Our Trip Leaders guide canoeing, backpacking, sea kayaking, and rock climbing trips all over the Lake Superior region and into Canada. We take a team approach with our Trips Staff, with all trip leaders sharing a voice in training and logistics.

Plus, as a Trip Leader you will be visiting some of the most pristine and beautiful locations this country has to offer, including Isle Royale, Boundary Waters and Pictured Rocks! Our certification requirements include Wilderness First Responder (WFR) and Life-Guard Training from the American Red Cross.
Training includes an out-sourced Wilderness First Responder (WFR) course which can be a great opportunity for invaluable training at no cost to you. We also provide 16 days of in-house training covering soft skills and hard skills including the Lifeguard and CPR course from the American Red Cross, which is completely free for you. So, while it is true that this position requires substantial certification, we provide or pay for that training, making it clear how important quality staff is to us.
Summer contract dates for 2025: May 27th–August 18th.
Wilderness First Responder Course Dates: May 20th-May 26th.
