With plans to expand its aftercare operations and open a new school, Camp Wannado is looking for a versatile and strategic Chief of Staff and General Counsel to support the CEO in managing business operations, legal affairs, and strategic initiatives.
Position Overview:
The Chief of Staff and General Counsel will work directly with the CEO to oversee daily operations, lead business initiatives, and manage legal and regulatory matters. This dual-role position is critical to ensuring the company’s continued growth and success.
Responsibilities:
Chief of Staff Responsibilities:
• Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO, managing key projects and business priorities.
• Oversee operations of the aftercare program and assist with the development of the new school.
• Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives and ensure efficient execution of business goals.
• Manage the CEO’s calendar, communications, and project timelines.
• Implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Act as a liaison between the CEO, staff, and external stakeholders.
General Counsel Responsibilities:
• Provide legal counsel on contracts, business operations, employment matters, and regulatory compliance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and partnership agreements.
• Ensure legal and regulatory compliance across the organization, particularly in education and childcare sectors.
• Advise on risk management, dispute resolution, and intellectual property protection.
• Support business expansion efforts and manage external legal counsel when necessary.
Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar.
• Experience in corporate law, business operations, and project management.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in education, childcare, or franchising industries is a plus.
• Proficiency in contract law, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
