The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) will lead the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis function. This role is crucial in providing strategic financial insights and supporting decision-making processes. The individual will represent the Finance function on various program teams and ad hoc projects, ensuring alignment with the organization's financial goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
CAMP4 is developing disease-modifying treatments for a broad range of genetic diseases where amplifying healthy protein may offer therapeutic benefits. Our approach amplifies mRNA by harnessing a fundamental mechanism of how genes are controlled. To amplify mRNA, our therapeutic ASO drug candidates target regulatory RNAs (regRNAs), which act locally on transcription factors and are the master regulators of gene expression. CAMP4’s proprietary RAPTM Platform enables the mapping of regRNAs and design of optimal chemistry to generate potent therapeutic candidates to address hundreds of genetic diseases across multiple tissues. Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Planning: Lead the development and execution of the company's financial planning processes, including annual operating plan, periodic forecasts, and long-range planning.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting: Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Program Team Representation: Act as the Finance representative on program teams, collaborating with cross-functional leaders to support program financials and strategic initiatives.
- Operating Plan Management: Coordinate the annual planning process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and efficient resource allocation.
- Forecasting: Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting and scenario analysis.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying key variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Project Leadership: Take initiative in leading and participating in various finance-related projects, demonstrating a dynamic and proactive approach to driving organizational success.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with various departments, including R&D, Clinical, and G&A, to provide financial guidance and support.
- Decision Support: Partner with business leaders to understand their needs and provide financial insights that drive strategic decisions.
- Communication: Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders to discuss financial performance, forecasts, and strategic initiatives.
- Alignment: Ensure that financial goals and objectives are aligned with the overall business strategy and operational plans.
- Problem-Solving: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify financial challenges and develop solutions to address them.
- Public Disclosure: Partner with Accounting to ensure accuracy of public financial disclosures.
- Investor Relations: Support the CFO in preparing for earnings calls and investor meetings, providing financial insights and analysis.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis. Experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry is required.

- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Strong proficiency in three-statement financial modeling and forecasting.
- Experience with financial systems (e.g., NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
