The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the daily traffic of CTC marine transportation assets and satisfying our contractual obligations to CTC customers. The Logistics Coordinator works under the Customer Service Representatives to ensure we meet operational and customer expectations. This is a rotational 12-hour shift position consisting of 7 days on and 7 days off. This position is located at our Houston, TX office and reports to the Vice President of Gulf Logistics.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Plan and carry out daily dispatching needs and prepare daily vessel orders to ensure customer service, productivity and safety goals are achieved.
- Review daily vessel and barge traffic for activity accuracy and keep records in accordance with billing and customer needs.
- Communicate daily traffic to internal and external customers.
- Ensure that the contractual obligations are met per customer requirements.
- Provide timely and accurate job status updates to customers.
- Coordinate with vendors to accomplish customer and equipment utilization goals in a cost-effective manner.
- Assist customer service representatives and Logistics manager with daily logistics activities.
- Collect, manage, and communicate effectively regarding marine incidents and equipment damage.
- Communicate with dock & vendors to coordinate transfer schedules.
- This position requires a 12-hour rotational work schedule.
- Additional duties as assigned.
