We are continuing to grow our team in Atlanta and are looking for a qualified Procurement Specialist to join us! The primary role of the Procurement Specialist is to maintain controls and ensure timeliness and quality of procured items, They are responsible for developing and implementing tracking systems and communicating status updates to internal stakeholders, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier qualification expertise, preparation issuance and tracking of bid documents, tabulation and evaluation of proposals, vendor negotiation of prices and Terms and conditions, issuance and administration of purchase orders (contracts) from cradle to grave, material and design submittal, expediting, inspection, logistics, invoicing and material management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Purchasing
- Interacting with CEPC disciplines to construct and issue Vendor RFQ packages
- Evaluating Services and Material Quotes and making purchase recommendations
- Issuing Purchase, Work and Change Orders to Vendors (utilizing Deltek Software)
- Conduct Vendor Kick Off Meetings.
- Manage Warranty & Back Charge Issues as applicable
- Work with AP Invoice verification/authorization for all work order invoices
- Coordinating with Vendors per Order requirements/deliverables
- Go between for Vendor and CEPC Disciplines communications
- Office and Field Expediting of those orders including contacting and visiting vendors (as required)
- Reporting status updates and weekly tracking for project order progress and issuing field visit reports (as required)
- Issuing final shop material acceptance certificates
- Maintaining vendor document submittals and in-house review/approval requirements
- Updating Material Tracking Reports and Material Test Report project databases for Final Data Book deliverables
- Responsible for the monitor of safe care, custody, control of equipment/materials throughout loading, transport & storage
- Manage the identification/recording damage, repairs, maintenance, shortages in coordination with field support
- Handles required transportation documents & services
- Assists Project Team in activities for field need schedule requirements
- Material Progress reporting and systematic tracking
- Issue final field material receipt acceptance certificates
- Ensure subcontractor and material supplier Terms and Conditions are in place and current prior to issuance of work orders.
- Request from subcontractors’ current information submittals (safety, insurance, rates) as needed to keep current and update records in SharePoint for tracking purposes.
- Work with subcontractors and suppliers to get them setup in our AP system which requires coordination with legal, operations and finance to fulfill vendor setup requirements
- Complete Credit Application forms and information for subcontractors and new suppliers
- Potential to progress into managing the Master Service Agreement and Terms & Conditions through to completion.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and 4 or more years of expediting or quality control experience, preferably in the oil and gas/pipeline industry.
- Prior experience utilizing corporate software to issue PO's and negotiating vendor terms & conditions.
- Prior experience with Deltek software is a plus
