Responsibilities

The Job At-A- Glance:

We are looking for a Utility Billing Specialist to join our USBS utilities team.  Reporting to the VP of Operational Systems and Support, and overseen by the Utility Billing Manager, this position will be responsible for managing the USBS billing process. This position will assist with customer service and support issues relating to utility inquiries, as well as serve as a liaison between the property staff and utility vendors

Job Description:

• Liaison between utility vendors and the properties.
• Responsible for reviewing, processing, and charging residents for their utilities on a monthly basis.
• Research past due accounts or utility billing issues along with recording metrics for utility usage.
• Provide customer service on all resident utility billings.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as needed

• Basic knowledge of how utilities work
• A Bachelor’s degree; or 3-5 years’ experience in student housing; or 2-4 years equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience where a high attention to detail and quality in job tasks is expected.
• Strong Excel skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• The ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and with a team successfully.
• Be a critical thinker and problem solver.

Relevant Systems and Platforms

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel and Property Management software (Entrata).

Pay Range

Salary : $50,000 - $55,000
