Job Description
This position is responsible for performing light secondary work such as cleaning & washing parts, deburring, buffing, TFE and simple machining. Responsible for ensuring these processes are executed efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Work under the general direction of the department supervisor with a minimum of supervision.
- Perform light secondary deburring, washing, cleaning, grinding and straightening of parts.
- Perform drilling, cutting, tapping, buffing, press work and simple machining.
- Run machinery following all processes and procedures, including soap/detergent usage, coating mixtures, oven temperatures, cure times, waste cleanup and more.
- Transfer material and parts from one location to another, including loading parts into machinery properly.
- Work from blueprints and other technical documents.
- Check finished items for quality.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and quality standards.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment. Includes removal of any foreign matter.
- Report defective material, any unusual condition or circumstance to supervisor.
- Follow standard practices and procedures as outlined by company policy.
- Perform all other duties as directed or required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three years manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Versatility required to perform many and varied other assembly and soldering operations manually.
- Must have reasonable dexterity in hands to manipulate small parts.
- Ability to read blueprints and measuring equipment such as: micrometers and calipers preferred
- This position works as both an individual contributor and in a team environment
- This position required the ability to lift 25-55 lbs. occasionally, 20-55 lbs frequently, 10-25lbs.
- This position may require standing and/or sitting for long periods of time, up to 8-10 hours per day
- This position requires good manually dexterity and visual acuity
- This position may be exposed to various industrial cleaning chemicals and oils
