Can Corporation of America is a leader in the manufacturing of steel cans used in agriculture and various other industries. We are looking for an experience Bi-lingual Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee our production operations in our Blandon, PA location. As the supervisor you will ensure that manufacturing remains a smooth and deficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows.
Day Shift 6:00 am to 6:00 pm | Night Shift 6:00 pm to 6:00 am – Every other week 3 days off. 11.5 hours per night
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manufactures products by supervising staff; organizing and monitoring workflow
Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
Promotes crew improvements by orienting and training employees; recommending and developing growth opportunities
Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; recommending cost reductions; developing reporting procedures; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
Completes production plan by recommending changes to employee scheduling; monitoring progress; notifying Scheduling and Operations management of issues, revising schedules as directed; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries
Maintains quality service by enforcing organization standards
Ensures operation of equipment by notifying support of needed repairs;
Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests
Maintains and revises systems and procedures by monitoring operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; recommending changes
Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures
Trains team and enforces sanitation program
Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment. Bi-lingual in Spanish (preferred but not required)
Ability to work independently or within a team
Must be able to communicate to both management and staff clearly and informatively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Strong decision-making and troubleshooting skills
Salary : $64,000 - $90,000
