What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager position at Canad Inns Destination Centre Grand Forks?
Summary: The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for assisting the F and B Manager with overseeing both the service and operational aspects of all of the F and B venues within the operation. This includes implementing and executing promotions and special events, driving loyal and repeat customer business, training, and staff development, forecasting sales performance to budget, managing labor costs, and identifying ways to increase revenue. The Assistant ensures that all aspects of the restaurant and kitchen operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Boost Sales and Revenue: Help us come up with cool strategies to drive sales and make our food and beverage outlets the talk of the town.
- Hands-On Fun: Be right in the action, especially during special events and busy times. Lead by example and make sure everything runs smoothly.
- Lead and Inspire: Join leadership meetings, prep reports, and set goals. Your awesome leadership will help us hit our targets.
- Keep Things Running: Oversee daily operations, from opening to closing. Keep everything clean, organized, and running like a well-oiled machine.
- Quality Control: Make sure our food and drinks are always top quality. Do regular checks to keep our standards sky-high.
- Train the Team: Get new staff up to speed with training programs. Track their progress and make sure everyone is ready to shine.
- Stay Connected: Keep the communication flowing with your team. Work with the F&B Manager and General Manager to keep everyone on the same page.
- Motivate and Celebrate: Create fun incentives to keep the team motivated and organize events to celebrate their successes.
- Customer Service: Build great relationships with our guests, handle feedback, and resolve any issues with a smile.
Qualifications:
- Experience within Food & Beverage Restaurant Management (Three to Five years of relevant experience.)
- Availability to work various shifts days, evenings, weekends, and holidays (as needed)
- Experience with developing and maintaining, with the F & B Manager, budgets for all locations
- Great organizational and time management skills
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
- Problem-solving skills and adaptability
- Physical fitness to stand, walk, and bend for long periods and ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Effective oral and written communication
- Ability to resolve problems and issues in a timely manner without much supervision
- Serve Safe Managers Certification (Not required but preferred.)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, etc)
