What You’ll Be Doing
Join our Global Transaction Banking, Cash Management team as a Summer Analyst in this 10-week role (June 2026 – August 2026) based in New York. You will become part of a team focused on delivering innovative banking and investment solutions to CIBC’s US corporate and institutional clients. Our goal remains to be the leading Capital Markets franchise in Canada and to work as one team to build our brand across North America and the world - proudly living our values as we work toward our vision to be the leader in client relationships.
The US Cash Management team provides cash management solutions to Corporate Banking clients for their treasury requirements for receivables, payables, managing liquidity via deposit account solutions and reporting. The team covers a cross section of industry verticals across the business including Energy, Diversified, Mining, Infrastructure, Power & Utilities, Sustainable Finance, Financial Institutions and Govt. sectors. Our clients are located across the US. We provide solutions in the US and Canada.

You are enrolled in an undergraduate degree in business related discipline including Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or related at the time of the internship
Expected graduation date of December 2026 – June 2027.

How You’ll Succeed
Cash Management Solutions: Provide cash management solutions to Corporate Banking clients for their treasury requirements, including receivables, payables, liquidity management, and reporting.
Client Engagement: Develop new client relationships through business development activities, leveraging referral sources and existing clients.
Documentation Support: Assist in the preparation of information memoranda and client pitch books, and actively participate in the credit approval process, documentation, and closing of loan transactions.
Collaboration: Work closely with senior bankers and cross-functional teams to support the management of a large and growing portfolio of clients.
Communication and Relationship Management: Conduct sound, timely, and well-communicated recommendations for credit facilities supported by thorough analysis.
Analytical Skills: Perform in-depth company, industry, and portfolio analysis to support credit relationships.
Financial Modelling: Run financial models focused on credit analysis and risk rating evaluation.
Client First Approach: Proactively assess clients’ needs and propose tailored solutions.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $105,000 - $115,000 (pro-rated for the 10-week internship program) for the New York, NY market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position.
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. Additional total compensation and benefits details will be provided during the hiring process.
