Location

This is a hybrid position which requires 3 days per week office attendance in our lovely Walnut Creek, CA location. The office is conveniently located near public transportation (BART), is ideally situated for bicycle commuters, and has an onsite secured parking garage.

Position Summary

The Senior Marketing Manager will lead the marketing team and overall strategy for the North America Residential Energy Storage group. This person will plan and implement comprehensive internal and external marketing activities (MarCom, Advertisement, Social Marketing and others) that support and complement the sales activities of Canadian Solar in the US, Canada & Mexico.

You'll have an opportunity to drive the overhaul of our digital marketing strategy for the residential product divison : EP Cube and will use your thorough understanding of modern digital and social media to drive revenue and the adoption of our product. This is a brand new role and will be the key to formulating innovative and creative brand strategies and reports to the Founder and General Manager of EP Cube.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide planning and leadership of Marketing activities by ensuring that the appropriate structures, systems, competencies and values are developed in order to meet and exceed the goals of the marketing plan.
  • Develop and measure the annual marketing plan for the North America region; for strategic market planning; market research programs; field force activities, and control / review of the marketing budget.
  • Prepare new product marketing plans for product introductions in cooperation with the marketing team at the CSI headquarters and with the regional sales and business development team.
  • Establish reports and internal communications for all marketing activities for the sales and management team for feedback
  • Develop customer programs to grow the customer base (both for authorized reseller and authorized installer) for the sales and promotion of residential energy storage products
  • Develop and communicate product trainings, participate solar exhibition shows, customer events and solar summits.
  • Establish and manage Social Media activities to promote and display Canadian Solar and to generate interest about the product portfolio and the solar solutions of Canadian Solar.
  • Analyze online statistics while identifying opportunities to optimize performance and report insights to leadership.
  • Review new technology trends and opportunities to ensure Canadian Solar remains a digital marketing leader within the industry.
  • Manage junior level teammates focused on event planning, graphic design, email marketing and more

Requirements :

  • 5 years experience in a Senior Marketing position within the PV or Energy Storage industry
  • Prior experience managing a team of marketing professionals & activities
  • Strong knowledge in all areas of digital / online marketing and be able to successfully lead / execute campaigns within each specialty area of digital marketing
  • Ability to travel as required for domestic and international shows approximately 30% annually
  • Excellent organizational, strategic planning and implementation skills
  • Ability to quickly learn detailed information about solar energy, energy storage, and the industry
  • Strong presentation and communication, written, and verbal skills
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams
  • Ability to create realistic schedules and meet aggressive deadlines
  • Confident with decision making with minimum supervision in regards to determining project guidelines, purpose, following through and completion
  • Understanding of financial reports including budgetary guidelines and project expenditures
  • High proficiency of MS Office applications and digital marketing tools such as Pardot
  • Ability to multitask and complete overlapping projects
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and proactively without detailed supervision
  • Great work ethic, can-do personality, competitive and driven

    Canadian Solar offers a competitive salary plus fully comprehensive benefits and performance bonus package based on an annual objective achievement. Our generous benefits package includes a 401(k) Retirement Plan, medical / dental / life / disability program, PTO and sick days.

    The pay range for this position is $120,000 – 140,000. This range represents annual base salary only, without regard to location, and does not include quarterly bonuses or incentives or benefits that may apply. The pay range for this role is subject to change.
