Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Geothermal Drilling Assistant to support our drilling operations in the Denver area. As part of our team, you will work alongside experienced drillers to assist with the installation of geothermal systems. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the growing field of renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup and preparation of drilling equipment and tools
- Provide support during geothermal drilling operations, including monitoring equipment and ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Handle and transport materials, supplies, and equipment as needed on job sites
- Operate basic drilling machinery under supervision and according to established procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including performing routine maintenance on equipment
- Follow company safety guidelines and environmental regulations at all times
- Keep accurate records of materials used, site conditions, and work completed
- Assist in the management of wellbore stability, casing installation, and grouting
operations
- Collaborate with the drilling crew to ensure the efficient and effective completion of
geothermal drilling projects
- Perform other duties as assigned by the project manager or crew leader
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in construction, drilling, or a related field preferred but not required
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow directions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy
equipment and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols and willingness to adhere to safety standards
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods
