Job Types: PRN/Casual
Pay: $15.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday split shift, 7:00am-9:30am, 1:00pm-3:30pm
What You Do:
- Demonstrate knowledge, understanding, and implementation of the client’s Life Plan, in accordance with client’s preferences
- Follow established safety practices and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for clients and the organization
- Work effectively within a team while respecting the right to privacy of the client, and confidentiality requirements
- Use initiative to think creatively, learn, and grow
- Model good decision-making skills and access appropriate resources
- Attend organizational and client-specific trainings
- Comply with documentation policies by submitting accurate and timely paperwork including progress notes, timesheets, expense logs and other required reports
- Maintain documentation of services provided that are clear and legible
- Inspect and clean vehicle before and after each route
- Assist clients in and out of vehicles and drop off locations when necessary
- Use a company vehicle to do your drives, on occasion will use person vehicle
- Ability to be flexible and effectively pivot for unexpected changes during your shift
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience with people with disabilities and/or mental health is preferable
- Ability to support clients and comply with Behavior Support Plans
- Valid Driver’s License
- Proof of 50/100/50K Automobile Insurance
- Possess a motor vehicle that meets the required operational and maintenance guidelines, that are in accordance with the Iowa Department of Transportation motor vehicle safety standards and Candeo’s Motor Vehicle Guidelines.

- Internet, Email access, smartphone access
- Microsoft Teams access (Teams will need to be downloaded onto your phone or computer)
- High level of both written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft software and applications
- Ability to pass Communication Training
- Ability to work successfully unsupervised
- Ability to negotiate and handle conflict as necessary
- Ability to travel in counties served by CANDEO
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment motor vehicle record check, criminal background check, child abuse, and dependent adult abuse check
- Driver's record is pulled yearly
- Must know standard safety protocols for driving in inclement weather
