What are the responsibilities and job description for the Police Administrative Assistant position at Candia Police Department?
The Town of Candia is hiring a full-time Administrative Assistant
Provides all aspects of administrative support to the Chief of Police and the department staff. Highlights are as follows:
Maintains department reports, statistical reports, accident reports, arrest reports, and dispositions of arrests.
- Works closely with the department Prosecutor
- Assists with department payroll records
- Maintains commercial, residential alarm lists
- Handles and processes billing for accounts payable/receivable to include police details
- Composes monthly uniform crime reports, reports and yearly reports for the department and the State
- Handles all requests for accident, criminal reports/events and other reports
- Processes applications, statistics, and billing for Highway safety grants and other grants
This is a 35-hour a week position, Monday through Thursday, with some flexibility. Minimum qualifications include:
- associate degree preferred
- 3-5 years of administrative experience or related field preferred
- experience working with computers, experience working with the public, justice of the peace/notary
