Reporting to the VP Finance- Tax and Treasury, the Senior Manager of Tax will be the subject matter expert regarding all income, sales, use, payroll, real estate and other tax matters of the Company, its subsidiaries and its related parties.
Responsibilities
- Supervise 1-2 team members
- Design and develop the progressive tax strategies of the company
- Prepare the income tax provision on a monthly basis
- Design and enforce sales tax controls for bricks and mortar as well as .com transactions to ensure proper customer collection and company payment
- Design and enforce use tax controls for corporate purchases
- Coordinate and influence the preparation of Fed and State tax returns prepared by an outside party currently
- Understand and implement tax credit purchase program
- Advocate for various tax software products to implement enhancements and controls
- Manage and facilitate all external party tax audits (income, sales and use)
- 1099 reporting
- Tax grant knowledge a plus
- Prepare quarterly/yearly tax projections for payment and budget purposes
- Coordinate the execution of Real Estate tax assessments and follow through with application of results; maintain relationship with external parties to evaluate effectiveness
- Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ) tax exempt reporting/ filing
- Coordinate Use Tax compliance in support of AP Expense
- Conduct tax liability reconciliations for Sales tax, Use tax and PA ACT 43
Qualifications
- 8-10 years of corporate tax experience
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting with concentration in tax
- Strong accounting, organizational, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Application, interpretation and implementation of tax accounting principles
- Knowledge of Treasury Management is a plus
- Strong Leadership capabilities- demonstration of developing team members’ capabilities
- Strong windows, excel, and word skills; Experience with PeopleSoft or other web based accounting program a plus.
