JOB TITLE: Content Creator and Marketing Associate

LOCATION: Candlewood East Marina – 204 Candlewood Lake Road, Brookfield, CT 06804

SUMMARY: Join our team as the Content Creator/ Marketing Associate at a premier marina dealership and club, where creativity meets luxury! You’ll be at the heart of showcasing the high-end boating lifestyle by crafting engaging, top-tier content across all the key social platforms—think stunning videos, eye-catching photos, reels, and more for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn.

Your role will include managing a well-planned content calendar to support both our sales efforts and Marina events, while working closely with our creative agency and vendors to ensure high-quality marketing materials are always on point. From creating striking boat listings and showroom displays to assisting with Club content, you’ll elevate every aspect of our brand. You’ll also have the opportunity to capture content at exciting boat show events, blending the fun of the boating world with the professionalism and high levels of customer service we’re known for.

START DATE: June 1st, 2025

TERMS: This is a full-time position that requires weekend hours. Standard work hours are as follows: Tuesday – Saturday: 8:30 to 5:00 pm. There are several events throughout the year that will require working past 5:00 pm or on Sundays. 

SALARY/HOURLY RATE: Starting at $20/hour. Benefits Available including:

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Content Creator:

• Create, execute and schedule social content with an emphasis on supporting sales efforts and company events throughout the year, showcasing not only the brands we represent but the lifestyle we cultivate 
• Social Posts: Create, capture and edit videos, photos, reels and blogs for social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.
• Identify trends and conversations for content creation opportunities
• Activate on trending moments with quick turnarounds

Marketing Associate:

• Manage third party vendors responsible for final creative execution including but not limited to email blasts, Every Door Direct Mailers (EDDM), print ads, printed and digital signage, and website updates.
• Initiate the request process with our creative agency providing clear direction, timing and access to creative assets to develop requested marketing materials.
• Manage club event sign ups
• Compile content from various company departments to create, edit and send out the weekly marina club emails to members.
• Manage new and pre-owned boat listings
• Online Listings: Create and post boat descriptions, photos and video walkthroughs of all boats.
• Showroom Listings: Create digital product signage to display boat details, videos and pricing.
• Have a working knowledge of all boat brands we sell including key features, available options and boat usage types.
• Attend boat show events to gather and create content

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field 
• Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply! 
• Reside in Western, CT area with reliable transportation. This is not a remote position.
• Familiarity with Social Media tools such as Canva, Adobe Express, & Meta Business Suite
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with Constant Contact and Acuity Scheduling
• Experience shooting and editing short form video content for both Instagram and TikTok
• Experience with social media copywriting 
• A passion for the  lifestyle 
• Self-motivation to identify social content to capture and create, leveraging other staff members as needed
• Must be outgoing and personable, willing to talk with customers and fellow teammates.
• Incredibly organized and creative!
