Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels are laundered to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. Your work will contribute significantly to the overall guest experience in our hotel, as you maintain the quality and appearance of our laundry services.
Responsibilities
- Launder all hotel linens, towels using appropriate washing techniques and equipment.
- Sort and categorize items for washing based on fabric type and color to prevent damage and ensure optimal cleaning.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect laundered items for cleanliness and quality before returning them to service.
- Maintain a clean and organized laundry area, ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to management promptly.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while handling chemicals and operating machinery.
Experience
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role, preferably in a hotel setting, is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with laundering techniques, including dry cleaning processes, is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
