About the Position
As the puppy program administrative assistant, you will be an integral member of our team as you care for our canines during their journey to become highly trained assistance dogs. You will be responsible for providing timely clerical, administrative and organizational support to the puppy program.
A typical day as an administrative assistant to the puppy program may include:
- Corresponding with current and prospective volunteer puppy raisers
- Maintaining materials associated with the puppy program including materials given to volunteers, and puppy raiser files
- Assisting with puppy raiser orientations and placements
- Setting up and coordinating puppy raiser meetings
- Preparing turn-in materials associated with puppy matriculation
- Assisting with the preparation of release dog materials
- Providing administrative support to the puppy program manager, and other members of the program team
EXPECTATIONS:
To be successful in this position:
- Must Haves:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Office-based work experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing various projects and priorities
- Nice to Haves:
- Animal related and or customer service experience
- Willingness to teach puppy raiser classes
SCHEDULE: Full time, Monday-Friday; may include occasional weekend or evening work
PAY: $20-$22 hourly.
The base salary range above represents the low and high of the range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of total compensation package for employees.
