Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Bather to join our team. Duties
- Bathe and dry pets using appropriate techniques and products to ensure their comfort and well-being.
- Brush and groom pets as needed, addressing any matting or tangling in their fur.
- Maintain a clean and organized bathing area, including washing towels and cleaning equipment after each use.
- Assist in handling pets safely during bathing procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs, grooming requirements, and any observations made during the bathing process.
- Provide basic animal care, including monitoring the health and behavior of pets while in the bathing area.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians or assistants when necessary to ensure the overall health of the animals.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in pet grooming or as a veterinary technician is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of animal behavior and handling techniques, including animal restraint skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Experience in animal care roles such as pet sitting or working as a veterinary assistant is a plus.
- Knowledge of equine care is beneficial but not mandatory.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
