Job Summary:

Canna Remedies Retail Associates are friendly and compassionate experts on cannabis and cannabis use. They are the foundation of Canna Remedies' mission to educate, curate, and elevate the cannabis experience and are a positive representative of Canna Remedies commitment to serve our community.

The Retail Associate provides exceptional service through meaningful connections ensuring consumers both new and experienced have the necessary tools and products to explore cannabis safely and effectively. The Retail Associate will also assist the dispensary team with any and all additional tasks as deemed appropriate and within a practical scope.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of cannabis products and their use to effectively assist customers
  • Deliver prompt, courteous, and efficient service to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Provide product recommendations and information to customers based on their needs and preferences
  • Verify patient allotment and ensure they are eligible to make purchases using the state verification system
  • Handle transactions and apply discounts with precision and accuracy
  • Ensure the accuracy of orders before pick-up and properly utilize the inventory tracking software to record relevant purchase information for all transactions
  • Contribute to achieving store objectives and sales goals
  • Answer phone and online customer product inquiries
  • Ensure a safe environment for staff, customers, and visitors, by following all safety and security protocols as well as adhering to all policies and state regulations
  • Ensures customer questions or concerns are resolved quickly and communicate any requests or unresolved concerns to management immediately
  • Adapts to varied sales volume and stays active by initiating continued learning activities, creating an engaging environment, and assisting in keeping the dispensary properly stocked, clean, tidy, and in operating order
  • Maintain and organize product displays
  • Work with store leadership to ensure all online menu content is always kept up to date
  • Assist with inventory audits and special projects
  • Comply with company cash handling policies and perform daily cash management responsibilities and compliance reporting
  • Assist with opening/closing of store
  • Participate in company initiatives and build consumer loyalty
  • Participate in CR staff trainings and meetings, providing support when needed
  • Maintain a basic knowledge of cannabis and cannabis use in NJ
  • Maintain compliance with NJ CRC Adult Use Cannabis rules and regulation

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Cannabis experience or completion of cannabis coursework favorable
  • Customer service experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments preferred
  • Cash handling experience preferred

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with computer systems such as email, Microsoft Suite, and Google Docs
  • Ability to work independently and as a team with people of diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays

Physical Requirements:

This job operates in a professional environment. Travel may be required for company sponsored events. Long periods of standing or sitting may be required. Lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required.
