Position Overview:
The Assistant Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of vault operations and daily production activities, ensuring the secure storage and handling of cannabis products in full compliance with Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission regulations. This key role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient operational environment, upholding regulatory standards, and optimizing production workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily vault operations, including the secure receipt, storage, and distribution of cannabis products.
- Work with the Operations Manager to oversee daily production activities.
- Ensure compliance with 935 CMR 500 regulations in all vault activities.
- Maintain accurate, real-time inventory tracking using seed-to-sale systems.
- Safeguard access to vault contents.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure proper implementation of all mandated security measures.
- Conduct regular audits of vault inventory and investigate discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the production staff to increase operational efficiency
- Prepare detailed reports for internal and regulatory use.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in vault management, inventory control, or a similar role, preferably in a regulated industry.
- In-depth knowledge of security and compliance protocols.
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Familiarity with Massachusetts cannabis regulations (935 CMR 500.000).
- Experience with METRC (seed-to-sale tracking system)
- Ability to maintain high standards of integrity and responsibility.
