Summary:
The HR Coordinator is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department for Cannabis Transport Services. This includes recruitment, onboarding, benefits, and compliance with HR policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Colorado cannabis industry experience is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the recruitment process from job posting to onboarding
- Conduct initial screenings and interviews of candidates
- Coordinate with department managers to schedule interviews and make hiring decisions
- Prepare and distribute offer letters
- Onboard new employees and provide them with orientation and training
- Manage employee benefits and compensation in HRIS (iSolved)
- Assist with enforcement of workplace policies (including anti-harassment, anti-discrimination, and safety policies) Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees in cooperation with department managers
- Investigate and employee relations issues and resolve conflicts
- Maintain employee records and files, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
- Stay up-to-date on HR trends and best practices
- Must have or be able to obtain a state issued MED Badge
- Tracking of HR metrics (ie. turnover rates, time-to-fill, and EE engagement statistics)
- Engage with department managers to develop and implement continued employee engagement, wellness initiatives, and professional development programs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
- 3 years of experience in HR coordination or a related role
- Strong understanding of HR principles and practices
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local labor laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and HRIS
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Other duties:
- Stay up to date with the rules and regulations of Colorado Cannabis laws
- Coordinate team building events
