Job Description
Position : Event Sales Coordinator
Department : Sales
Reports To : Easton Porter Group Director of Sales and The Cannon Green Event Sales Department
Summary : This position will include - administrative support to the Event Sales department, together with sales outreach focused on driving corporate events and receptions.
Create and maintain relationships internally and externally, with a strong passion to elevate a guest's experience. Act as a liaison between the kitchen, service team, sales, and guests, to provide a truly memorable experience.
Deliver top-level customer service. The annual time spent on each area is approximately even with variations based on seasonal demand.
Role : This is an exempt salaried position. Hours are typically Monday - Friday during normal business hours, with flexibility on weekends for events presence with clients.
Essential Functions : Must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and demonstrate outstanding leadership abilities.
Must be able to delegate responsibilities, organize complex projects, and establish priorities consistent with business objectives and philosophies.
Have a positive attitude and a courteous demeanor with all customers, staffers, and vendors. Must be able to work well with others and help with other responsibilities as needed in order to maintain an environment of teamwork.
Willingness to jump in as needed for the operations team during key events.
- Answer phone call inquiries for weddings and private events, along with the other team members.
- Manage all digital inquiries (Wufoo / Email) and respond to initial outreach and lead pre-qualification.
- Coordinate lead follow-up for Sales Managers, as outlined in the Sales Inquiry Process.
- Maintain complete working knowledge of Triple Seat and EPG-specific workflows.
Sales Responsibilities :
- Conduct site tours, explaining the space and offerings, upselling our menus.
- Build prospective Clients' lead list (Corporate & Private Events) when time permits.
- Build client relationships; oversee client communications.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of Banquet Event Order (BEO).
- Meet / greet your clients in order to act as the liaison between clients and our businesses
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all members of the Event staff, as well as Cannon Green staff & vendors.
- Complete property walkthroughs and communicate any needs with Management, Culinary, and Maintenance teams.
