Essential Functions/Key Deliverables
- Develop and maintain a constant safety environment, providing necessary training updates to achieve zero incidents and full compliance with OSHA and plant standards.
- Provide effective supervision, training, and coaching to assigned maintenance employees to achieve required equipment uptime, equipment repairs, and production goals.
- Ensure standard operating procedures and engineering/maintenance procedures are current, accurate, and that all work is done in compliance for maximum quality.
- Monitor maintenance employees to ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety, and Food Safety standards as set forth in plant policies/programs.
- Work with employees to resolve technical and machine problems.
- Schedule, monitor, and track preventive maintenance to effectively meet production needs.
- Ensure accurate spare parts inventory and on-site availability to support equipment repairs and upgrades.
- Plan and provide technical training.
- Assist operations to continually improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and spoilage results.
- Enforce safe work practices.
- Participate in department strategic planning and ensure appropriate skills are available when needed.
- Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department, the plant, and the company, including handling stress and interacting with others to establish a positive and productive work environment.
- Member of HARA team.
- Perform any other duties reasonably corresponding with the role.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or significant experience in a related/similar field.
- Strong preventive maintenance development experience based on Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles.
- Must be able to motivate and lead others, deal with ambiguity, have a results-driven mindset, good decision-making skills, and excellent communication skills.
- 5 years' job-related experience in a food safety manufacturing environment.
- 2 years' supervisory/leadership experience.
- Able to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities, establish, and achieve goals.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
