Job Overview :
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing maintenance technicians and ensuring the efficient operation of a 24 / 7 bakery environment. This role involves supervising and assisting in equipment repairs, breakdowns, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. The Maintenance Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations, minimizing downtime, and maintaining production equipment.
Key Responsibilities :
Supervise and provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and repairing equipment breakdowns.Prepare technician schedules to ensure 24 / 7 line coverage and oversee preventative maintenance activities.Recommend and allocate overtime as necessary to support operational needs.Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to document plant needs for the fiscal year, including equipment repair or replacement costs.Maintain and track repair schedules for equipment and ensure timely execution of maintenance tasks.Manage department performance measures, including visual controls, and regularly report progress to the Maintenance Manager.Ensure compliance with all safety standards and maintenance protocols.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED preferred.Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering is preferred.7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including leadership experience.Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) and electrical troubleshooting.Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and the PSM Standard preferred.Expertise in maintenance / engineering, including hydraulics, mechanics, process control, and electrical systems.Proficiency in using Excel and Word for managing reports and spreadsheets.Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
Salary : $85,000 - $92,000
