Position Summary
Work with the Plant Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure parts are distributed and recorded in a timely fashion through work orders. Organizes and maintains inventory of spare parts and supplies to fulfill customer commitments and achieve company KPI(s). Responsible for placing orders, receiving parts into our CMMS system and physical location. Monitor the stock levels and adjust low stock items.
Essential Functions/Key Deliverables
Organizes, monitors, and maintains the inventory to ensure smooth operations, including obtaining and selecting vendor quotes, following up and receiving purchase orders, and maintaining computer-based logs and records.
- Maintains inventory cycle counts on an ongoing basis to ensure accurate and complete records.
- Assist plant personnel with issuing spare parts and maintaining spare parts logs to ensure accurate and complete records and to meet internal customer needs.
- Develop Min Max levels for all recommended spare parts.
- Performs other related and assigned duties, as necessary.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
2 years of experience in a spare parts / stockroom role ideally in the manufacturing industry.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy and organization
- Experience managing multiple vendors and assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Critical-thinking skills with a solution-oriented mindset
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to function both independently and as part of a team; must be flexible and excited to grow with the organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products – SAP experience helpful.
