Job Summary
Assist the Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations with tasks necessary for the efficient operation of the Business office within the district. This role is a key member of the Business Office. Provide a friendly, safe, and supportive environment for all staff, vendors, and the general public.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):
- Main responsibility is processing of the school district’s accounts payable
- Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of warrants
- Establish and maintain collaborative and positive vendor relationships
- Work collaboratively, answer questions, and support other staff members members of the Business office and building based staff as it relates to the functions of the position.
- Processing of the purchase orders for the district
- Manage the revenue/receipt management
- Process all receipts received into the office, including revolving accounts, gift accounts, user fees, gate receipts, school functions, outside functions, donations, etc.
- Perform accurate and timely reconciliation of specified accounts on a monthly basis
- Bookkeeping and clerical duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree - Degree in Accounting or Business, or equivalent experience in municipal or school accounting with MUNIS or other computerized general ledger system preferred
- Must be detail-oriented and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Excel
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with all records and information
- Ability to work as a member of a highly functioning team.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Well-organized with excellent leadership abilities
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills
- Working knowledge of relevant technologies: internet and email systems; word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software
- Employment-based on successful completion of CORI and fingerprinting background
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the school department may find appropriate and acceptable
