Canton Township is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Special Events and Programs Coordinator. This part-time position will be responsible for coordinating and planning services, programs, and activities that promote the quality of life and well-being of adults at Canton Club 55 . The ideal candidate will have previous customer service experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with coordination and planning of programs and events
• Manage and promote services, programs, and activities
• Interact with patrons to provide positive customer experiences
• Coordinate set-up, tear down, and clean-up of programs and events
• Recruit, interview, train, schedule, and supervise part-time/seasonal recreation staff/volunteers as directed
• Work with local businesses to gain sponsorships for events and activities
• Participate in purchasing supplies and equipment for programs and activities
Requirements:
• Minimum of 18 years of age
• High school graduate or GED required
• Previous customer service experience required; supervisory experience preferred
• Previous recreation experience in a similar facility or program is preferred; experience working with older adults is preferred
