Job Title : Lead Systems Engineer

Location : Huntsville, AL (Hybrid)

Canvas is looking for a talented Lead Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to provide coordinated communications integration support to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Chief Engineer and United Arab Emirates (UAE) THAAD Engineering Lead.

Duties :

Provide systems and interoperability engineering, analysis, and technical guidance regarding the THAAD weapon system with international partners.
Assist Engineering Lead with managing the technical aspects of all assigned force design work.
Assist with international Tactical Data Link Architecture and attend data link conferences.
Collaborate and coordinate on force design technical efforts with multiple external agencies and stakeholders.
Identify deficiencies and shortcomings in planned or ongoing design reviews and provide options for fixing them.
Document and communicate interim and final technical findings and results in a clear manner that is understandable to senior-level decision makers.
Actively participate in regular and ad hoc force design meetings and technical exchanges.

Requirements :

Master's degree in STEM field

12 years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program / project.

Self- Starter with enthusiasm and capacity to learn in a fast-paced environment

Good verbal and written skills

Ability to lead teams and collaborate with others

Desired Qualifications

Masters in STEM field

Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance

Military experience with Air Defense Artillery, Theater High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD), and / or Common Data Link Interface-Module (CDLI-M).

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Experience working within a collaborative environment composed of Government, prime contractor, sub-contractor and supporting contractor personnel in a badge-less contractor environment.

Prior experience within Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs.

Security Clearance : Active DoD Secret Clearance
