As a Junior Design Drafter you will create new distribution and service designs for underground natural gas customers while ensuring regulations and engineering standards are met. You will report to the Supervisor of Drafting.

As a Junior Design Drafter you will create new distribution and service designs for underground natural gas customers while ensuring regulations and engineering standards are met. You will report to the Supervisor of Drafting.
What You'll Do
- Perform analysis and quality assurance on gas installation paperwork submitted by field personnel
- Create drawings according to company standards based on field documentation corresponding with construction requirements
- Perform data entry for incoming and outgoing documentation
- Interpret field documents and translate to required company documentation
- Communicate with field foremen and superintendents to ensure accurate documentation
- Input data into the Customer Work Management Information System (WMIS)
- Log and track all data on AC's and packages received from field personnel into FOMS
- Create detailed spreadsheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and check lists to record construction progress daily
- Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience using GIS or similar mapping software
- Experience working with underground utilities
- Experience completing free-hand drafting
- Experience using AUTO CAD
- Experience communicating with customers

- Work is performed in a regular office setting with regular visits to warehouse and construction sites
- Flexibility to work different schedules and stay late with little or no notice
- Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
- Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
- Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
- Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
- Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
