THE POSITION
The Procurement Agent will manage the acquisition of goods and services, oversees fleet and tools management, sources and evaluates suppliers, negotiates contracts, and handles purchase orders. Building supplier relationships, monitor inventory, ensure compliance, and seek cost-saving opportunities. The role requires strong communication, negotiation, and time management skills, along with knowledge of electrical materials and equipment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fleet management, Asset protection, and maintenance
Tools management, Asset protection, and maintenance
Sourcing Suppliers: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
Negotiating Contracts: Secure favorable terms and conditions.
Purchase Orders: Create and manage purchase orders.
Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels.
Compliance: Ensure procurement activities comply with policies and regulations.
Cost Management: Seek ways to reduce costs while maintaining quality.
Market Research: Stay informed about market trends and changes.
Driver/Driving Assistance
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred*
3 years in procurement, preferably focusing on electrical materials and equipment.
Experience with Microsoft office products like SharePoint, excel and Outlook, required*
Relevant certifications such as CPSM, CPP, or similar credentials preferred
Strong understanding of electrical materials, equipment, and procedures.
Ability to lift, pull or push to 50 lbs.
Effectively negotiate terms and secure cost savings.
Assess supplier performance and analyze market trends.
Strong written and verbal communication and time management skills
Vehicle mechanical knowledge is a plus
Pay ranges from 70,000 to 85,000 yearly salary
