Job Description
The Construction Supervisor is a hands-on manager responsible for coordinating and developing all staff on-site. Working closely with the Project Manager, the CS ensures daily project progress meets specifications, plans, and contract requirements while maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making adjustments as necessary due to weather, supply, delivery, and personnel.
• Delegate individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors.
• Manage and mentor employees, subcontractors, and vendors, overseeing multiple crews of 3-6 employees.
• Provide adequate resources to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices, and safety needs.
• Emphasize safe tool usage, machinery operation, and equipment handling, providing training on safety gear, helmets, and procedures.
• Assist company leadership with project staffing projections, staff oversight, and staff development.
• Manage projects sold by others and handed off to you.
• Nurture relationships with clients, architects, and engineers, expanding your professional network.
• Deliver high-quality products while adhering to budget parameters set by the client.
• Complete work in compliance with national, state, and local codes, including safety regulations.
• Assist the Project Manager with change orders and estimates.
• Schedule Town Inspections.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth project execution.
• Manage and organize on-site documents.
• Work independently with minimal instruction.
Requirements:
• 7 years of prior experience.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Ownership of a full set of tools.
• OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and Construction Supervisor License.
• Ability to lift 80 lbs.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work long hours in harsh weather conditions.
• Good math and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 80 pounds.
• Physically fit and able to perform various tasks, including standing, climbing, lifting, walking, reaching, crawling, etc.
