GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Director, in collaboration with Early Childhood faculty and staff, will implement Early Childhood Education Career Pathways grants and ensure that grant activities are implemented in accordance with the grant proposal and grant regulations. Duties include data tracking and report completion, oversight of grant activities, working with an outside vendor to complete assessment of industry needs, grant documentation, fiscal management, participant recruitment, grant partnership management, and community advocacy. All activities will be carried out in collaboration with relevant faculty and staff. This is a grant-funded position through June 2025. Continued employment is contingent upon availability of grant funding and performance of professional duties.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

  • Monitor and coordinate ECE Career Pathways grant project activities to ensure implementation and service delivery as described by the funded grant program, including staffing, programmatic, and fiscal obligations.
  • Work with the Early Childhood Education Coordinator and faculty on the implementation of the project and compile accurate data for the writing and submission of reports and the renewal of proposals.
  • Assist with an ECE Southeastern Massachusetts industry assessment.
  • Work with faculty and staff to analyze the industry assessment and use results to plan direct services to educators.
  • Assist in developing collaborations with early childhood education providers in the College's service area and respond to educator need for professional and academic coursework.
  • Act as a liaison between employers, public schools, high schools, local & regional business partners, the workforce career center, and other partners.
  • Participate in MA Early Education and Care (EEC sponsored activities and stay abreast of current topics at the state level.
  • Facilitate the implementation of the CDA Plus program and other non-credit programming at CCCC.
  • Maintain coordination of grant services between offices at CCCC including admissions, communications, advising, registrar, business office, grants office, financial aid, and the early childhood program.
  • Utilize advising technology.
  • Promote and sustain positive working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Participate in meetings on and off campus as they pertain to the project, students, and staff.
  • Organize and facilitate Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) for grant participants.
  • Track project expenditures to ensure consistency with grant and college budget process.
  • Work with the grants office and financial aid to oversee the awarding of student aid under the grant.
  • Track project data and take responsibility for grant reporting (including goals, outcome, & evaluations, and other items as required by college or by funding agency).
  • Attend regional and statewide meetings related to the project.
  • Participate in all EEC sponsored meetings, including monthly EEC Community of Practice meetings.
  • Coordinate access to academic and career advising for grant-funded students.
  • Coordinate evaluation process with the Project Evaluator and IR/Internal Evaluation Team.
  • Monitor project activities to ensure compliance with grant-funder regulations and guidelines.
  • Conduct regular meetings with appropriate staff, including Early Childhood faculty and advisors.
  • Supervise and work with the ECE Career Pathway Grant Retention Specialist to provide proactive and responsive supports to advance student success.
  • Supervise the Supplemental Instructor and the Simultaneous Interpreter for the ECE Brazilian Portuguese courses.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Education, Child Development, or closely related field.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting and retaining students towards course and program completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze information.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate complex grant activities, including budgeting and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with early childhood education and out-of-school time educators including family and center-based educators, school personnel, and the College.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly and compose concise, coherent reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to travel to attend meetings and participate in conferences, including evenings and weekends.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree or higher in in Early Childhood Education, Education, Child Development, or closely related field.
  • Grant management experience.
  • Familiarity with the Cape and Islands region Early Education and Childcare stakeholders.
  • Experience in Early Childhood Administration or Early Childhood Education classrooms.

Additional Information:


COMPENSATION
: Annual salary range of $70,000-$75,000 (dependent upon qualifications). Full-time, Non-unit Professional position that includes participation in a comprehensive employee benefits program including option for membership in the Massachusetts State Employees' Retirement System. This position is grant-funded through the MA Early Education and Care (EEC) Career Pathways Grant.
