GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Maintainer I is responsible for performing various manual tasks including custodial, grounds keeping and snow removal, as well as other general maintenance duties required for the maintenance of buildings and grounds of an educational institution. This is a Second Shift position with a Monday through Friday, 3 p.m. - 11 p.m. work schedule.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and climb ladders.
- Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Current Massachusetts Driver's License.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:
Experience in building maintenance and upkeep.

Additional Information:
COMPENSATION: Full-time, benefited AFSCME Unit Position (Job Grade 10 - Step 5) with weekly salary of $870.18 shift differential of $1.25 per hours of work. Candidates may qualify for placement above entry-level salary if currently employed in the State system.
