GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position supports the Registrar's Office within the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Services by providing front desk, phone, and email coverage, along with document processing and customer service. Applicants must demonstrate strong organizational skills, maintain confidentiality, and possess proficiency in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite applications, to effectively perform primary job functions.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Customer Service: Communicate professionally with students, faculty, staff, and the public, addressing inquiries and providing accurate information on enrollment, registration, and other office functions. Assist in resolving issues or direct individuals to appropriate departments or resources, as needed.
- Data Processing: Process course registrations, course withdrawals, residency forms, enrollment verifications, and other documents related to the office functions.
- General Office Support: Registration front desk and phone coverage, serving as an initial point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and the public. Answer and direct phone calls, provide information, and assist with inquiries related to enrollment, registration, and other student services.
- Other Duties as Assigned: Perform a variety of administrative tasks as needed to support the efficient operation of the Registrar's Office, such as data entry, mailing correspondence, processing student forms. Maintain and organize student records and documents, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in filing systems.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent GED or HiSET.
- One year or more of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in office administration or a related field.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service by promptly, patiently, and courteously addressing individual needs in all interactions, in person, by phone, or via email.
- Exceptional attention to detail and process oriented.
- Ability to work calmly and patiently with students and members of the College community, demonstrating sensitivity and professionalism in interactions with diverse populations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, in person, over the phone and via email.
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree.
- Experience working with Jenzabar or other student information systems.
- Bilingual.

Additional Information:
COMPENSATION: $20.00 per hour, for up to 18 hours per week. Non-benefited, non-unit position.
