Insurance Referral Representative
Location: Sandwich, MA
Job Responsibilities:
- Request insurance referrals using methods provided by PCP or insurance companies
- Enter new referrals or ensure that existing referral numbers are linked in the system to ensure managed care requirements
- Document steps taken to obtain the referral and current status of the referral in the system until complete
- Referral management: Track, follow up and log referral
- Confirm and document insurance eligibility, deductible and copay information in the system for the front desk
- Communicate with other departments to ensure referral documentation is received
- Communicate with PCP offices to ensure referrals are received back in a timely manner
- Communicate with patients to ensure follow-through with their referrals if needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
