Position: Practice Manager – Ophthalmology Practice

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our practice, ensuring that both patients and staff experience excellence in every interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure the practice runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Implement and maintain systems to improve workflows and patient care delivery.
- Staff Leadership:
- Supervise and manage a team of clinical and administrative staff.
- Handle recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing staff development.
- Develop and manage staff schedules to optimize productivity and patient care.
- Financial Oversight:
- Manage budgets, billing processes, and revenue cycle to achieve financial goals.
- Collaborate with billing teams to ensure accurate coding and claims processing.
- Monitor financial performance and prepare reports for leadership.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA standards, and MIPS requirements.
- Maintain high standards for patient safety and quality of care.
- Patient Experience:
- Address and resolve patient inquiries, feedback, or complaints in a professional manner.
- Foster a patient-first culture that prioritizes excellent service and outcomes.
- Technology and Innovation:
- Oversee the use and maintenance of EHR/EMR systems (e.g., Nextech or other relevant software).
- Collaborate with clinical staff to integrate advanced ophthalmic technologies and processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience managing an ophthalmology or medical practice is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ophthalmic procedures, terminology, and equipment.
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems (e.g., Nextech, ModMed, Medflow, or similar).
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Financial acumen, including experience managing budgets and understanding billing processes.
- A patient-centered mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
