ESSENTIAL AND OTHER IMPORTANT FUNCTIONS STATEMENTS: Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Essential Functions: Instruction: Deliver high-quality instruction in heavy equipment operation, covering classroom theory, hands-on simulations, and practical application in our outdoor construction lab.Ensure student comprehension of safety procedures, industry regulations, and best practices.Foster a dynamic and engaging learning environment that motivates and inspires students.Effectively communicate complex concepts to learners with diverse skill levels and learning styles.Adapt teaching methods to accommodate individual student needs and learning paces.Adhere to the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) curriculum.Industry Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with industry professionals to stay abreast of current industry trends, technologies, and best practices.Participate in industry events and conferences to enhance professional development and network with industry leaders.Student Support: Provide regular and constructive feedback to students on their progress.Maintain accurate and timely records of student attendance, performance, and progress.Communicate effectively with students, supervisors, and other relevant stakeholders.Program & Facility Management: Monitor and maintain the condition of heavy equipment and ensure its safe and proper operation.Identify and report equipment maintenance needs to the supervisor in a timely manner.Contribute to the development and improvement of the Heavy Equipment Operator program.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning environment in both the classroom and the outdoor lab.Other Important Functions: Professional Development: Actively pursue professional development opportunities, such as attending workshops, seminars, and industry conferences.Maintain current certifications and licenses related to heavy equipment operation and instruction.
