Incumbents in this position are responsible for inspecting sewer lines with a video camera to locate line breaks and other potential problems.
Responsibilities :
- Performs comprehensive video inspections of water and sewer systems using remote controlled camera and television monitors, records, and documents inspection.
- Uses Maximo software to receive, log, and report work orders.
- Uses blueprints and GIS to locate water and sewer related lines, valves, meters, manholes, and clean outs using video and television equipment.
- Locates sewer manholes and cleanouts.
- Sets up traffic control for assigned vehicle / equipment.
- Responds to reports of sewer and water line related problems.
- Performs preventive maintenance on video equipment and assigned vehicle.
- Trains assigned personnel in equipment maintenance and operation.
- Assists repair crews with water and sewer line repairs and installations.
- Performs other related job duties as assigned.
In the event of an emergency, all employees are considered essential personnel and may be required to perform alternate duties.
