Summary
Responsible for fit testing employees that are identified under the Respiratory Protection Program. Performs fit testing accurately, and timely in accordance with OSHA approved guidelines. Maintains accurate records to include data entered in computer and hard copies. Responsible for maintenance of equipment, ensuring adequate par levels of supplies and capture of charges in the billing process. Performs overall clerical operations for Employee Health Services. Provides the highest quality of service and meet the needs of our customers and co-workers. Delivers weekly, monthly and yearly reports as designated.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum of 1-2 years clerical experience or, nursing assistance desired. Excellent PC skills to include typing. Tact and ability to deal with patients under stress, good planning and organizational skills. Excellent guest relations skills. Verbal and written skills required. Ability to read English. Ability to accept supervision from a multidisciplinary team. Flexible in approach to work tasks and schedules. Able to grasp new skills and techniques. Has basic knowledge of age-specific considerations for patients served.Must be able to hear well and be able to communicate orally. Demonstrates Manual dexterity and visual acuity. Has mobility to assume awkward positions. Able to transfer/position equipment and supplies using proper body mechanics. Must be able to lift, stoop, bend, kneel, and reach. Ability to lift/carry equipment 20lbs. Job may involve skin, eye, mucous membrane, or parental contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials. Some exposure to offensive odors and sights are possible. Has the flexibility to work long hours and/ ability to travel to various sites of Cape Fear Valley Health System
