Summary
Prepare blood and blood products according to SOP. Perform maintenance, quality control, and validation of all lab equipment according to SOP.Bachelors degree in Biology preferred. Associates degree in Biology, Chemistry or health related field combined with one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in a hospital or clinic based lab preferred. Ability to work effectively with people, effective oral and written communication skills. Able to create documents using Microsoft Word and Excel. Must have the ability to organize work and complete multiple tasks simultaneously and according to deadlines. Excellent follow up skills. Must be team player. Must be detail oriented. Must have excellent documentation skills.Light lifting up to 25 pounds, general motion including standing for long periods, bending, squatting, reaching, carrying, pushing and pulling. Near visual acuity, and ability to discern colors. May involve skin, eye, mucous membrane, or parental contact with blood or other potentially infectious material.
