What are the responsibilities and job description for the Design Quality Control / Quality Control (DQC/QC) Manager position at Cape Fox Corporation?
Mountain Point is seeking an experienced Design Quality Control / Quality Control (DQC/QC) Manager. The DQC/QC Manager works within the onsite work organization responsible for overall management of Design and Quality Control and has the authority to act in all DQC/QC matters for Cape Fox. The DQC/QC Manager is responsible for the supervision of Design and Quality Control functions/activities of a project or its parts including Quality Control inspection schedules and the collection of Quality Records. The Design Quality Control Manager / QC Manager is responsible for reviewing and certifying that submittals are in compliance with the contract requirements and is the only authorized personnel to approve submittals. The Design Quality Control Manager will review and approve all design submittals (e.g., 65%, 95%, 100% and IFC) prior to submission to the government for review.
The Design Quality Control Manager shall develop and complete various discipline-specific checklists to be used during the design and quality control of each submittal. These completed checklists shall be submitted with each design submittal, as applicable, as part of the project documentation. These checklists are to be provided to support the Quality Control Manager in the field to facilitate their understanding of quality control inspections against designed code requirements and the approved design.
Additional duties include:
Support the Project Manager with all Quality Control matters
Assess the implementation of the Quality Control Plan on the site including oversight of procedures for scheduling, reviewing, certifying and managing submittals
Control, verification and acceptance of testing procedures
Control phase procedures, deficiency tracking and verification.
The DQC/QC Manager must be on the site at all times during construction and be employed by the prime Contractor, Cape Fox. The DQC/QC Manager may be dual hatted as the submittal
clerk, and shall be fully qualified for both positions and capable of fully executing the duties of both positions, as required by the contract. Cape Fox must identify in the plan an alternate to serve in the event of the DQC/QC Manager's absence. The requirements for the alternate are the same as the
DQC/QC System Manager.
The DQC/QC Manager must possess a minimum of 15 years construction experience, of which a minimum of five years’ experience must be in construction quality control on construction similar to this contract or be a graduate engineer, graduate architect, or a graduate of construction management, with a minimum of five years construction quality control experience on construction similar to this contract.
