What are the responsibilities and job description for the Van Driver - Cape Fox Lodge Guest Shuttle position at Cape Fox Lodge?
Cape Fox Lodge is seeking drivers to operate the Lodge van guest shuttle. As within the hotel policies and rules, the Van Shuttle Driver is responsible for safely transporting guests to and from their desired destination and assisting them with luggage and fish boxes. Driving routes may include airport transfers, pickups from various Cape Fox Corporation owned establishments, and other transfers within approved driving areas. The safety of Cape Fox guests is a top priority. Qualified applicants must be free from influence of drugs or alcohol. All duties must be performed in accordance with Tribal, Federal, and other applicable requirements, organization specific policies, procedures, and practices.
This is a part-time position (20 - 25 hours per week) with potential opportunity to move into a full-time position, if desired, during peak season. Weekday AM shift is 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM; weekend part-time PM shift is 2 PM - 9:30 PM.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Ensure that maintenance is regularly performed and be responsible for vehicle
- Ensure vehicle is always clean
- Safely provide guest transportation and excellent customer service
- Report all accidents, injuries, unsafe working conditions, and damages
- Use maps and other devices for navigating transfers
- Must be knowledgeable of surrounding area, able to find places and make stops in a reasonable, timely manner
- Must follow all state laws while operating vehicles and ensure all pertinent insurance and other driving related documents are up to date and visible
Job Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License issued by state of residency
- Prefer minimum of 3 years of driving experience with some van driving experience
- Highly prefer applicants 21 years of older
- Clean driving record/experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to assist guests entering and exiting vehicle, handling luggage, and regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent personal hygiene
- Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be free from influence of drugs and alcohol
- Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
